Dental Safety Protocols

Dear patients,

Hope you are all enjoying a glimpse of springtime. We wanted to thank each of you for your support and understanding as we continue to navigate through COVID-19. As things begin to open back up and some begin to travel, we wanted to send out a reminder of our safety protocols that we will continue to strictly adhere to.

Given the nature of our practice, we cannot socially distance nor can patients wear a mask while in treatment. Therefore, we have set a high standard of safety during our daily operations. These protocols apply to EVERYONE- whether vaccinated, non-vaccinated, or have had a documented Covid-19 case within 3 months. Given that it may be possible to still carry and spread the virus following vaccination, we are maintaining the same level of caution for all patients.

Please see below for our updated guidelines:

• There are currently no restrictions on automobile travel as long as you were not exposed to someone with COVID-19.
• Air travel
• We ask that your appointment is scheduled 10 days after your arrival.
• If the appointment is scheduled less than 10 days, we ask that it is at least 7 days after travel regardless if you are vaccinated. We will require a negative COVID test that is taken no sooner than 3-5 days POST travel. For example, if you return on a Monday that is Day 0. The earliest your test can be taken is Thursday.

If possible exposure:

• Regardless of vaccination, we ask that you reschedule your appointment. You can reschedule when:
• You quarantine for 10 days and remain symptom free without a negative test
• At least 7 days after the event with a negative test result (test must occur on day 5 or later)
